Keys to the Kias These three Kias possess collectively about as much fun as a family can have while on four wheels. None of the three is good for a family of more than five individuals, but if your family is one with fewer than five mouths to feed, consider... Kia Rondo The Kia Rondo has plenty of pep and power provided by its V6 engine. When the Family Car took the Rondo into the beautiful foothills of Altadena, California to test what its got, we were pleasantly surprised by its spry handling, get-up-and-go, as well as its remarkable maneuverability provided by power rack and pinion steering...not to mention MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension. For safety, the Rondo has 4-wheel disc brakes with antilock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control, along with full-length side curtain airbags. The Kia Rondo rocks Altadena, California in this Family Car test drive video.
Kia Rio5 The Rio5 has an inline four-cylinder, iron-block, aluminum head engine with dual overhead cams to keep its valves springing.Zippy performance is provided by the110 horses worth of power at 6,000 revolutions per minute that the Rio5's four-cylinder engine kicks out, as well as by your choice of either a 5-speed manual overdrive transmission or an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic. Edmunds.com has rated the Rio5 "lowest true cost to own wagon under $15K." Such a deal! ![]() Kia's Rio5 has four wheel anti-lock braking and full side curtain airbags for safety. And we're not done with our cadre of Kia vehicle's yet!
Kia Amanti You'll be forgiven for thinking that you're in a Mercedes E350 or some equivalent silver-spoon sedan when you're driving the 2008 Kia Amanti. It has a luxury feel and a sensationally smooth ride. After gave this baby a bath we went back out on the road for much more driving pleasure, getting 17 miles per gallon in the city and between 19 and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. Among the nice features of the Amanti, the leather package perhaps tops the luxury list, while the active headrests, anti-pinch windows, and dual front advanced airbags lead to greater safety in worst case scenarios. There's no doubt you and your family will feel a bit, well, distinguished inside the Amanti. Our test drive vehicle had a dark red wine exterior and a smooth, soothing, black leather and cloth interior. And the price of all this luxurious look and feel? Answer: $31,695 for test drive vehicle shown in the video above. |
