So Does Chevrolet's Smart New Traverse Crossover

As we drove Chevy's new Traverse it sometimes seemed to be a throwback to the days of the family station wagon, then our minds would traverse over to the thought that we were in an SUV.

Perhaps its natural to go back and forth about what type of vehicle the Traverse crossover is most reminiscent of, like a skier going back and forth to get down a slope. But instead of zig-zagging across our mental landscape about the vehicle's mixed lineage soon gave way to a stop at the middle of our mind's traverse.

We test drove the all wheel drive LTZ version with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $39,810. All versions (LS, LT and LTZ) come with a 3.6 liter V-6 engine.
